Gear

Skaters must wear ALL safety gear when on skates.

We often have gear (especially pads and helmets) available to borrow.

  • Quad skates (4 wheels – no inline skates)
  • Helmet (skate or multi-sport)
  • Wrist guards
  • Elbow pads
  • Knee pads
  • Mouth guard (sport standard)

Skaters must have their own mouth guard.

We usually have inexpensive mouth guards available for purchase, but molding them at home is much easier and less stressful for you and your skater(s)!

Text reads: "CHECK YOUR GEAR!!! -NO sharp spots -NO cracks -MUST stay secure -Hard shells must be fully attached Carefully examine helmet after ANY impact for: stress fractures, cracks, & compressions." A set of kneepads, elbow pads, wrist gaurds, and a helmet are shown over a background of a sky with clouds.
Text reads: "WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN A SKATE -Quad style -Adjustable trucks (cushion between wheels) -Adjustable toe stops -Low boot for movement -The right size, measure! *AVOID!* -Cone-like toe stops that can't be replaced -A very high heel -All-plastic hardware" Two skates in the upper right have adjustable toe stops and trucks circled. One skate in the lower left has a fixed toe stop and high heel circled. Shown over a background of a sky with clouds.
